Abstract Artwork

Reclaimed teak roof shingles have been arranged into an abstract artwork suitable for wall placement. The various curves, angles, and surfaces are inspired by the early 20th C. Russian constructivism. The black and grey colors have been added to the old teak to reduce color variation to a minimum, allowing the form of the composition to dominate. The depth of the piece creates interesting shadows that change with ambient light. For easy and secure mounting, the piece has been fitted with a cleat. The piece utilizes Thai parts but was made custom in Golden Triangle’s Chicago atelier in 2022.
