Sekten – TakTakkTack för Havet

TakTakkTack För Havet is the culmination of Sekten’s year-long project, exploring the ocean’s beauty, power, and mystery through music and film. After 12 singles, released every month since March 2025, and weekly TikTok videos by the band, the full project is released as a full album on 17th April 2026. “The sea was our point of departure: from fieldwork in Skagerrak to the release of 52 short films and 12 singles, the project has unfolded as an extended exploration of sound, image, and context. The year-long release format became part of the work itself, continuously influencing our methods and perspective. With the album, these elements are brought together into a unified form, reflecting a sustained engagement with the sea as both subject and source of inspiration.” Formed in 2003, Sekten has won a Danish Music Award and created bold works like Klubbhus and Music For Exercise – Headband.
