Filet Crochet Craft Circle @ Cleo's in Bushwick

Have you noticed how many incredible filet crochet pieces are being made lately? Interested in trying it out for yourself? Or maybe you're a filet crochet master already who wants to meet other filet crocheters! Either way, we'd love to have you join us this summer for our three-week Filet Crochet Craft Circle! This is a lightly guided meetup for crocheters who want to hang out with other makers, swap tips, and share inspo for all things filet crochet. Each ticket includes $5 off your first drink at our cafe! REQUIRED EXPERIENCE You should already feel comfortable doing chain stitches and double crochet on your own. SUGGESTED MATERIALS We recommend using a lace weight cotton yarn like Circulo Cleá (available at our Bushwick location where this craft circle is held) or Ito Gima (available at our new second location: Rory's in Ridgewood). Need help picking out materials? Come by 15–20 minutes before each session and we’ll help point you in the right direction! CRAFT CIRCLE STRUCTURE This craft circle will be hosted by Cleo. While no formal instruction will be provided as this is a more social event, they will be available to answer questions and offer advice if you need it! You can take the class before this craft circle starts, or take it concurrently. In the class you'll learn how to read a filet crochet chart, how to design your own chart, the different types of stitches you can use in filet crochet and the benefits of each one, and how to incorporate a filet crochet design into a garment or accessory.
