April 9 - 11 (THURS-SAT, 9 AM–4 PM) Weavers of all skill levels are often plagued by selvedge angst and uneven results. With over 40 years of weaving experience, Bettie Zakon-Anderson will share what are considered best practices to conquer that woven edge and improve your weaving. Since practice makes progress, you’ll explore in greater depth techniques often not retained by newer weavers during the initial learning phases. Experienced weavers will also benefit from learning new ideas about practices that may have become rote. Armed with helpful tips, from winding warps, loom dressing, bobbin winding and throwing shuttles, Bettie’s insight and steadfast support will help you practice your way to new habits that will bring you better results and greater satisfaction! A Harrisville Designs Model A4 loom is provided, along with all necessary equipment and our 100% woolen yarns in 64 colors. Skill Level: Advanced beginner. Students must be able to wind a warp, dress a loom, and have woven on a floor loom.
