Class - Crochet a Summer Top

Learn the ins-and-outs of crocheting a garment and walk away with a summer top ready to wear! We'll make the Maria Top by Kaitlin Barthold in class together. This is a great project for advanced beginners that's fun to wear, with lots of color options to personalize it to perfection. You'll also learn: The basics of tee construction and understanding the pattern What to know about gauge and fiber choices How to measure yourself for the best fit Ease: what is it and how much do I need? Blocking basics for a ready-to-wear finish When: 2 sessions Sunday, June 14th 12:00-2:00 pm Sunday, June 28th 12:00-2:00 pm Teacher: Amy Required Materials: (not included) Copy of the pattern (available from Ravelry) DK yarn in chosen colors and quantity appropriate for your chosen size (we chose a cotton blend) Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook (or hook needed to meet gauge) and one hook size larger Prepared gauge swatch Notions: measuring tape, tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers Homework: Crochet a 4 x 4" gauge swatch and bring it with you to class (instructions in pattern) Optional: come in during the week before class if you need help choosing materials before preparing your gauge swatch Required Skills: Basic crochet stitches: chain, single crochet, double crochet Changing colors Crochet in-the-round You will receive a 10% discount on supplies purchased in our store for this class as well as any purchases made on the day of. Questions? Come in any time before class and we'll get you set up! Fine Print: This is not a Learn-to-Crochet class, reasonable crochet experience is required for this class. You should be comfortable, holding a hook and making stitches, particularly double crochets. Ages 14 & up. Classes are offered in person and are limited to a small number of participants. If you choose to cancel, you will receive a refund up to 48 hours prior to the beginning of the class. Refunds will be issued if your class is cancelled due to low enrollment.
