Refill Bourbon Barrel 801101 Dist: Sept 2010 Btl: 2025 Tasted: Mar 2026 A high toned and citric nose of herbal barley and green apple. A little sweeter barley follows along with honeyed notes, but overall, the nose retains that crisp freshness. With time the green fruit really comes to the fore, but the honey and some late oak balances. The palate is fresh but dense and honeyed. Green apple, lime, vanilla along with hints of grass, herbal spice and crème patisserie oak. Slightly masked but the length is good with lingering green fruit, lime and almost salty mineral notes. Water makes the nose a little fuller, but it remains much the same as neat. The palate also displays a bit more oak and it’s maybe a little more robust, but it still retains that lovely fresh citric green fruit and barley.
