Groovy Orange & Black Floppy Hat

Vintage Hat Label: Georges Rech, Made in Slovakia Material: 49% cotton, 51% silk Groovy orange, black, and cream floppy hat. This hat has a bendable brim, so can be worn a variety of ways. The band inside the hat is elastic, so has some give to it, making it fit a variety of head sizes. The designer, Georges Rech, became known in the 1960’s as a pioneer of Parisian ready-to-wear, making luxury clothing for women, and you can tell that this hat is very well made. We are unsure of this hat’s era, the label looks newer (possibly 90’s or early 2000’s), but the design looks 70’s. This hat was purchased from the estate of an elderly woman who traveled to France to purchase wardrobe pieces throughout her life. The brim width is 4 3/4 and the hat s 4” tall. Condition: excellent
