The Next Stitch with Kirstie – commencing Saturday 13 June 2026

Dates: Saturdays 13th, 20th, 27th June and 4th July 2026 Time: 1.30pm to 4.30pm (1.15pm setup) You’ve threaded your machine, finished a project or two and caught the sewing bug – now what? “The Next Stitch” – the natural next step for students who have completed the Canberra Sewing Beginners Course or have sewn basic items at home or school and are ready to grow their skills. This course uses foundations from our beginner sewing course, which covered a lot of basic machine operation and basic construction techniques. The Next Stitch will increase your machine confidence & sewing techniques & introduce you to sewing garments. “The Next Stitch” introduces you to beginning your ‘Me Made” wardrobe with simple garments, opening up the world of sewing. You will be growing your skills as you sew your very own pair of PJ or loungewear pants. During this class each student will be able to understand the language of commercial pattern.
