The collection includes infantry, Scottish, fusilier, cavalry, corps and other regimental insignia, with a particularly good variety of traditional brass, white metal, bi-metal and darker-finished badge types. Among the more immediately recognisable pieces are badges associated with Scottish regiments, Middlesex, Essex, Leicestershire, East Yorkshire, Lancashire Fusiliers, Royal Berkshire and Royal Engineers, together with a number of numbered and less commonly encountered patterns. This is a deliberately mixed lot containing both genuine period badges and later restrikes/reproductions.
