Antique Wooden Walnut Victorian Stationery Box Organiser Writing Slope with Key c.1900 An antique stationery box, dating to the late 19th / early 20th century, this piece reflects a time when handwritten correspondence was an essential daily ritual. The hinged walnut front opens to reveal a traditional fitted interior, complete with a pen tray, leather lined writing slope, two glass ink bottles and multiple compartments for storing stationery, envelopes, notepads and post cards. The writing slope is bordered with a geometric pattern in a golden colour. The box has a working lock and key to securely store contents. Displaying a rich patina, this writing slope is as decorative as it is functional and ideal for collectors, writers or as a desk accessory in a home office or workspace.
