Farmhouse Live Edge Dining Table

The Farmhouse Live Edge Dining Table pairs the organic character of Winnipeg white oak with a strong, architectural base. Its substantial 2"-thick tabletop features natural live edges, unusual grain and bookmatched boards that make the wood the centre of the design. The white oak used in the table shown was recycled from trees removed from Winnipeg parks. Knots and natural cracks are carefully stabilized and filled with epoxy, preserving the tree’s character while creating a practical surface for everyday dining. A clear hardwax oil finish protects the tabletop while maintaining the oak’s natural colour and grain. The tabletop is supported by a black steel farmhouse base connected by a solid white oak stretcher. This combination of wood and steel gives the table a substantial presence without feeling overly rustic. This table is an example of past work and is not available for purchase. We can create a made-to-order version with the same overall design, but its live edges, grain and natural characteristics cannot be duplicated exactly.
