Riedel Ayam Decanter (Black Stripe)

The Ayam decanter is inspired by and named after the rare breed of Indonesian hen, and makes a unique centerpiece for the table in the form of a high-functioning instrument for wine enjoyment. Formed freely by hand, the decanter features a wide mouth for both receiving and pouring wine, opening into a wider base to allow the free flow of air exchange with the wine. A tapered and curled tip adds a second level of functionality to the Ayam, acting as an elegant handle. The Black Stripe piece features a black stripe through the design, achieved by introducing a rod of black crystal into the molten glass before the decanter has been formed. The RIEDEL Bottle Cleaner cannot be used with this product as they can become lodged and unable to remove. Caring for your RIEDEL Crystal To avoid stains: use soft water (low mineral content) To avoid scratches: Avoid glass contact with other glass or metal To remove stains: use white vinegar If available use a stemware rack If washing by hand Wash the glass under warm water (use detergent and rinse the glass carefully) Glass polishing: Use two polishing cloths, never hold the glass by the base to polish the bowl Stem snap: Occurs through mishandling = torque or bend pressure at the stem Storage: Avoid glass storage in kitchen cabinets which have strong aromas that translates into glass
