In this presentation, Nici Partridge will explore Baba Yaga as an archetypal initiator whose role extends far beyond that of villain. Dwelling at the threshold between the known and the unknown, culture and wilderness, consciousness and the unconscious, Baba Yaga confronts those who seek her with trials that demand courage, discernment, humility, and psychological maturity. She does not rescue or comfort those who enter her realm; rather, she compels them to discover capacities they did not know they possessed.
