TraumaFix Halo Chest Seal
The TraumaFix HALO Chest Seal range is designed for emergency treatment of penetrating chest injuries, including wounds caused by gunshots, stabbings and other thoracic trauma. HALO Seals are high-performance occlusive dressings that help protect and stabilise open chest wounds until the patient can be transported to a health care facility. They are designed to create a strong seal around the wound, helping reduce the risk of air, liquid or debris entering the wound site. HALO Vented Seals include a one-way valve system with four vents positioned around the dressing. This allows air to release from the thoracic cavity while maintaining a strong seal, helping reduce the risk of tension pneumothorax. Built for demanding environments, HALO Chest Seals use a patented hydrogel adhesive designed to adhere in wet, dirty and challenging conditions, including the presence of blood, pleural fluid, heavy perspiration, dust, sand and chest hair. The transparent construction supports accurate placement and allows clear visualisation of the wound, while the oversized release liner and large pull tab assist with fast application, even with gloved, wet or bloody hands. Available in sealed and vented options, the HALO Chest Seal range gives responders flexible choices for IFAKs, trauma kits, workplace response kits and frontline medical packs.
