Echeveria 'Raindrops' is a distinctive succulent bred by renowned hybridizer Dick Wright. It is prized for the unusual, raised raindrop-like tubercles that develop on the upper surface of its fleshy leaves. The blue-green rosettes are accented by attractive red margins, creating a beautiful contrast. Bright light helps encourage the characteristic raised tubercles and brings out stronger coloration. With its unusual texture and sculptural form, Echeveria 'Raindrops' is a popular choice for succulent collectors. LIGHT | Full sun to bright, indirect light COLD TOLERANCE | 7°C. Protect from temperatures below this level. WATER | Water thoroughly when the soil is completely dry. SOIL PH | Slightly acidic to neutral SOIL TYPE | 50% potting mix, 50% inorganic material (pumice or perlite). FERTILIZER | Fish emulsion, kelp solution, worm castings, or shrimp compost during the growing season. PROPAGATION METHODS | Stem cuttings HUMIDITY LEVEL | Low ACTIVE SEASON | Spring through fall GROWTH HABIT | Compact, solitary rosette MATURE SIZE | Approximately 4–6 inches (10–15 cm) in diameter NOTE | Adequate sunlight is important for developing the characteristic raised "raindrops" on the leaves. These tubercles may become less pronounced when the plant is grown in low light. INSTRUCTIONS FOR ROOTING CUTTINGS Place the cutting on top of well-draining soil and keep it in bright shade while roots develop. Roots should begin to form within approximately 2–3 weeks. Once roots appear, water sparingly and only when the soil is completely dry. After the cutting has rooted, gradually acclimatize it to stronger light and outdoor conditions to prevent sunburn.
