Each pendant is handmade by Annie Rose Sisson, a relief captain aboard WHOI's coastal research vessel, R/V Tioga, and a scientific diver at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Annie is also the first woman to serve as a full-time captain at WHOI. When she's not supporting oceanographic research at sea, she combines her love of the ocean with her passion for metalsmithing, creating jewelry inspired by waves, shells, and the extraordinary creatures that inhabit our blue planet.
