DESCRIPTION Our Dainty Memorial Ashes Heart Charm is handmade by me in my Shropshire studio from sterling silver or solid gold. I carefully preserve a small pinch of your loved one's cremation ashes within the heart, creating a simple yet meaningful keepsake that's perfect for everyday wear. For a final personal touch, I can engrave the reverse with a short message of your choice, or even reproduce your own handwriting. You can personalise your charm by selecting from 14 crushed opal colour options, which have that beautiful iridescent sparkle, or from our pearlescent flat white or flat black colour options. You may also choose whether the ashes are placed above the colour layer so they remain visible, or beneath it for a more discreet finish. The kit contains a biodegradable sealable bag and spoon, allowing you to gather the ashes with care and dignity. We require approximately one teaspoon of ashes per item ordered. Only a small amount of ashes will be used, and all unused ashes will be carefully returned to you along with your finished pieces. For your convenience, a return envelope is provided. Please note that return postage is not included, allowing you to select the postal service you feel most comfortable using. COLOUR & LAYOUT OPTIONS We offer a choice of 14 beautiful crushed opal colours. The opal creates a stunning iridescent effect, as the tiny fragments catch the light and reveal flashes of rainbow colour. We also offer a flat black and flat white colour, which has a subtle pearlescent shimmer for a more understated look. You can also choose whether your loved one’s ashes are set beneath the colour layer or placed above it so they remain visible. This is entirely a personal choice. However, if you select an opal finish, the sparkle and colour flashes of the opal are often more noticeable when the ashes are positioned beneath the colour layer. ENGRAVING This design can feature a short personalised message on the back. Choose from the below font options, or provide your own handwriting to be engraved. For handwritten messages, its best to limit to 1-2 words max to ensure legibility of the engraving. Remember to e-mail a photo of your handwriting to studio@holduponheart.co.uk after ordering, together with your order number. PRODUCTION & DELIVERY Every piece of Hold Upon Heart jewellery is handmade by me, Melanie, a goldsmith with over a decade of experience specialising in memorial jewellery. Every piece begins in my hands and is crafted with exceptional care and attention to detail. Your production time begins from the date your ashes are received in my studio and reflects the time, care and individual craftsmanship involved in creating your jewellery. During particularly busy periods, this timeframe may vary slightly. If you need your jewellery by a specific date close to the estimated production time, please leave a note in the "Note to the Studio" box at checkout and I'll always do my very best to accommodate you.
