Dry Creekbed

This artwork is a reminder of the creek beds of my childhood, drying out with the seasons and revealing little treasures beneath. I’d wander along them searching for pretty stones and crystals, waiting for the tide to return and bring the creek back to life. After long days spent outside, we’d swim in the cool creek water instead of the ocean, where we sometimes had to worry about crocodiles. It holds memories of childhood, Country, and the simple adventures that made home feel so special. 7x5” acrylic on canvas 2026
