Organics Studio Elements Vanadium Purple
Vanadium was first isolated and identified by Nils Gabriel Sefstrom in 1830. It was named after the Germanic goddess Vanadis, due to the large range of colors found in vanadium compounds. Its most important use is vanadium pentoxide, a catalyst for the production of sulfuric acid. THE ELEMENTS SERIES – our take on a collection of the essential colors of any writing ink collection. These inks makeup a set of ‘simple’ colors, tasked with coloring the basic spectrum of pure colors. These chemistry-themed inks were our first foray into the ink world, and have stuck with us ever since. Handmade in Maryland.
