Coiled Basket Making

COILED BASKET-MAKING MEETUP Come learn the beautiful art of coiled basket making! During this beginner-friendly meetup, you’ll learn how to begin your basket, wrap and shape the coils, add color, and create a finished edge. No previous basket-making experience is required. DATE: September 11 TIME: 4-6:45 COST: $40 per person LOCATION: Creators Corner 525 C Rue Saint Francois Florissant, MO 63031 WHAT’S INCLUDED: • Coiling cord • A starter selection of yarn or fabric • Tapestry needle • Step-by-step instruction • Light refreshments Each participant will receive enough supplies to begin one small coiled basket. Depending on your working speed, you may need to complete your basket at home. ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES: Extra colors, specialty fibers, embellishments, additional cord, and take-home basket kits will be available for purchase. Participants will receive 10% off additional basket-making supplies purchased during the meetup. WHAT TO BRING: Please bring a pair of sharp scissors. All other basic supplies will be provided. AGE REQUIREMENT: Recommended for adults and teens ages 14 and older. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. SPACE IS LIMITED: Advance registration and payment are required so that we can prepare your materials.
