Ad Gefrin Distillery Tour and Tasting

Go behind the scenes at Ad Gefrin, the family-founded distillery that re-awakened Northumberland's whisky-making tradition after a sleep of more than 200 years. On this 90-minute guided tour you'll follow the journey from locally grown malt through mashing, fermentation and distillation to the cask store, before finishing in the tasting room with a guided tasting of Ad Gefrin spirits, led by their resident Alchemists. Your ticket also includes entry to Ad Gefrin's award-winning Anglo-Saxon Museum and Great Hall, an immersive celebration of Northumberland's Golden Age, making this a full day out in Wooler, at the gateway to the Cheviot Hills. Designated drivers are well looked after with drams to take home, and under-18s (ages 8-17, accompanied by an adult) receive non-alcoholic alternatives at the tasting.
