Antique Wedgwood Cobalt Jasperware Biscuit Barrel

A beautiful antique Wedgwood biscuit barrel in deep cobalt-blue jasper dip, decorated with classical white relief figures and fitted with an silver-plated rim, lid and swing handle. Also has a ceramic interior. The underside is impressed WEDGWOOD and ENGLAND, dating the piece to approximately 1895–1910. It is in overall good antique condition, with a few small areas of age-related loss to the blue jasper dip along the base edge. The silver-plated fittings show expected tarnish, small pittings, and surface wear from age. There are also slight discoloration areas on the blue, likely from silver polishings of the past. Measures 5" tall (without handle) and 5" in diameter. Sourced in England. Circa 1895–1910
