Bottega Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG is produced in Valpolicella, a historic winegrowing area in Veneto whose name derives from “val polis cellae,” meaning “the valley of many cellars.” This prestigious red wine is made from native grape varieties traditionally grown in the region, including Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara. After harvest, the grapes are dried using the traditional appassimento method, concentrating sugars, aromas, and structure before slow fermentation and extended aging. This process gives Amarone its signature power, depth, and longevity. In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby red color with garnet hues. The nose is intense and layered, with aromas of marasca cherry, ripe red fruit, blackcurrant, raspberry jam, nutmeg, and chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rounded, warm and persistent, with great structure and length.
