A handsome 18th century walnut kneehole desk of excellent proportions, retaining a rich, genuine colour and attractive mellow patina. The crossbanded and feather-banded top sits above an arrangement of seven cockbeaded drawers, all fitted with the original brass swan-neck handles and original locks. The kneehole encloses a central cupboard with its working key, offering useful concealed storage. Raised on attractive bracket feet, the desk has been sympathetically restored to preserve its character while ensuring it is ready for everyday use.
