Workshop: Spanish Guitar

Spanish Guitar Workshop with Tristen Brooke Saturday, September 12th, 2026 1:00 to 2:30 pm Eastern Learn the history and techniques of Spanish guitar in this 90-minute workshop. We will become familiar with some of the famous composers (Francisco Tárrega, Isaac Albeniz, Joaquin Rodrigo), compositions, and performers with Andalusian roots (Paco De Lucia, Andrés Segovia, Pepe Romero) . Expect to learn at least 2 pieces which incorporate characteristic techniques of the region including finger picking and flamenco strumming. Prerequisites Guitar 3 or Familiarity with open chords and basic strumming Ability to read guitar tab and/or standard notation This is an adult class open to students aged 13 and up.
