This is a 'living notebook' made from unprocessed Japanese red pine shaved to an astounding thinness and then dried. The soft fragrance of red pine is present. This new introduction has a hardcover and 'German style' binding. No matter which page you open to, the book opens flat at 180 degrees without having to press it down with your hands. A favorite page may be easily displayed as a work of art. As each page is alive, you will notice changes over time - perhaps a change of color, some slight warping or a tear along the grain - please enjoy this natural unfolding.
