Well then why not join The Ciderologist and the Dragon Orchard team for an unforgettable Cider Making Experience. The Stanier family have been growing apples in Putley for 4 generations. The current generation, Norman and Annie Stanier, have cultivated Dragon Orchard into a sustainable business mixing community enterprise and commercial apple production. It is the perfect place to learn the steps of cider making, brought to life by The Ciderologist – Gabe Cook. Hailing from 2 villages over from Putley, Gabe brings 20 years worth of cider making, educating and story telling from the UK and all over the globe. By the end of the day not only will you have pressed juice ready to take away to make your own fine cider, but you will be full of wonderful stories about the people, the apples and the landscapes which have created such a heritage of cider in Herefordshire. The day includes a wonderful apple picker’s lunch of local, hearty fare and apple juice made in the orchard.
