Vintage miniature Santa Claus figure made in Occupied Japan, circa 1945-1952. The figure has a painted composition face with blue eyes and a white beard, a red felt coat with white trim and a black belt, a pointed red felt hat, and dark painted boots. Santa holds a sack at his front, with chenille trim at the arms and around the sack opening. The figure stands on a round white cardboard base. A circular purple ink stamp on the underside of the base reads "Made in Occupied Japan," along with pencil notations. The felt shows wear and soiling, with fraying at the tip of the hat. The base has staining and edge wear.
