This Pre-owned 4/4 Model 300 is in terrific condition and has been well cared for. This cello has a lush, full tone and has only some light signs of use as shown in the photos. The Model 300 is a finely crafted intermediate cello made for players interested in the look, feel, and warmth of a seasoned instrument. Featuring an attractive hand-rubbed oil varnish finish, the Model 300 is antiqued to give it a vintage, aged appearance. It has a solid carved Spruce top and figured Maple back and sides for a warm, smooth and round tone. The tonewood is naturally dried outside on a covered, ventilated area for 10 years. The wood is then placed into a drying room, consistent with old world traditional European practices. This process ensures that the wood will not open or expand, and guarantees overall stability.
