THOR

THOR is the deep one. A chunky linear loop at 13mm pile height and 70oz (2380gsm), it is the heaviest and highest wool carpet in our range, and it feels like it — there is a real cushion under the foot before you reach the backing. The yarn is 100% wool, 70% of it New Zealand wool with the balance European fibre, spun four ply on a wide 1/2 inch gauge. That open gauge is what gives the chunky linear rib its definition instead of the fine, tight lines of a lighter loop. The palette is warm neutrals, from the pale Illume through to the darker Storm. Wool does the work here that no synthetic fibre does: it buffers humidity, holds its colour against UV, traps airborne dust in the pile rather than letting it circulate, and is naturally flame resistant. THOR tests at greater than 8.9 kW/m² critical radiant flux under ISO 9239.1. Six colours: Illume, Flash, Energy, Spark, Bolt and Storm. Supplied in a 4 metre width, and backed by a 20 year residential wear warranty, a 10 year insect warranty and a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defect.
