Chinoiserie Dreams draws inspiration from historic Chinoiserie and its romantic interpretation of East Asian art. Discovered through research in the Mantero archives in Como, the print brings together delicate birds, florals and intricate botanical motifs in a richly detailed composition. Co-created with Mimi Thorisson as a celebration of her Chinese heritage and our shared love of decorative arts, Chinoiserie Dreams has since become one of Morpho + Luna’s most beloved prints, printed on silk in Como. The fabric is our signature 19-momme mulberry silk. Momme is the traditional unit used to measure the weight and density of silk; the 19 momme is the ideal balance of density, durability and fluidity, designed to keep its beauty over time. Dense yet softly matte, it carries a natural lustre and an effortless drape. Cut on the bias to follow the body with an elegant, flowing drape, Nyx falls to a graceful maxi length. A softly cut V-neckline, double-layered silk at the bust and fine adjustable straps create a beautifully refined silhouette.
