Pre-WW1 Canadian NWMP North West Mounted Police 1876 Pattern Sabretache

black leather construction sabretache measuring 11 3/4 inches in height, and 7 1/4 inches across the top, widening to the bottom to 9 3/4 inches. Blackened metal and gilt brass badge to the front secured by 3 screw post fasteners to the reverse. Brass attachments to the top for the straps, and a black leather strap closure to a large brass tab located on the reverse. Interior black leather pocket to the interior, with a leather flap closure that is also to a brass tab. A museum inventory number is present to the inside of the interior pocket. The case is bright and clean, showing some wear to the outer edges at the front and some handling marks being present. Strong stitching throughout with the badge being bright and clean.
