The Best Wine for the World! The first offering from the Elvis & Kresse regenerative vineyard, vintage 2025, includes a crisp and complex white. The beautiful light hay colouring of the wine is testament to the quality of the grapes grown in our chemical free, ecology first, fully regenerative vineyard: not a single chemical has put on these grapes or land during any part of the growing or making process... GUARANTEED! This single estate, 12% white is made in England entirely on site at New Barns Farm, the Elvis & Kresse headquarters. The vines were planted in 2022 and these grapes were hand-picked in October 2025 and taken directly to our on-site, boutique winery to start the wine making process. We pressed these with our own feet and because we do not apply any chemicals to our grapes the autochthonous yeast (naturally occurring native yeast) is all we need for the grapes to naturally ferment. This wine was left on the skins for one night before a gentle press. The grapes used to create this wine are almost entirely Souvignier Gris, with a small amount of Rinot. Both grape varieties are naturally fungal resistant and love to grow in England's cool, damp, maritime climate. We love to drink this white chilled. And according to one of our first expert tasters: "The aromas are layered with encouraging complexity. Citrus fruit, lemon, grapefruit and zest coupled with delicate notes of yellow apple and pear. The mineral component is clear and bright, with a refreshing sense of chalky minerality." We have loved sharing it with friends. It has fantastic acidity which means it could compete with a heavy hollandaise or carbonara. We have been enjoying it after a swim with our newts, drink-swooping swifts and also with roasted aubergine salad, grilled halloumi, anything Ottolenghi but also with homemade smash burgers. Our expert recommends it with 'cantabrian anchovies, first press extra virgin olive oil and pan de coca'.
