"Scent of September" Bull Elk Original Oil Painting

I love this pose on a bull elk, similar to a lip curl on a whitetail. It's a unique pose, it makes their rack look really impressive, and it speaks to the elk hunter who has experienced the sights, sounds and scents of September in elk country. You can almost hear the aspens rustling in the cool fall breeze as this bull works his way into the wind to search for a receptive cow.
