Doom Flower / Mass Text splt 7"

We're excited to be working with two great Chicago artists who happen to be friends with each other. What better way to welcome both bands to Solid Brass than a 7" appetizer to give you a taste of each. Doom Flower is the musical project of Chicago-based singer and multi-instrumentalist Jess Price. With band members Matt Lemke (Wedding Dress), Pete Croke (Brokeback, Exit Verse), and Areif Sless-Kitain (Regulator Watts, The Eternals) they blend atmospheric guitars with minimalist and occasional trip-hop-influenced beats reminiscent of Cat Power, Mazzy Star, and Portishead. Mass Text is the moniker of Chris Sutter (singer/guitarist of Chicago post punk trio, Meat Wave). Mass Text is a sonic departure rich with menacing melodies drenched in reverb. With the help of friend and producer Jason Balla (DEHD, Accessory), Mass Text carves out its own lane appealing to fans of Galaxie 500, Destroyer, and Atlas Sound.
