Korintje Cinnamon, Sticks

Indonesian Korintje cinnamon, grown on the island of Sumatra, is the smooth and warm flavoured cinnamon we know and love in North America. Cinnamon does not taste sweet itself but enhances sweetness in other ingredients. The flavour compounds present in cinnamon disperse well in fat or alcohol, they do not dissolve well in water. It's begging to be mixed with butter. Add early in the cooking process to give time to diffuse. Also available as ground Korintje cinnamon. Flat Pack: 4" x 6" x 2", contains 1/2 cup.
