Vintage Copper Candle Snuffer with Ornate Cone & Twisted Handle Purchased from an antique store in the Netherlands. Size: 10.5” length Beautiful vintage copper candle snuffer featuring an unusually decorative conical extinguisher with embossed dot and scalloped detailing. The long handle has a twisted rope-style shaft terminating in a large hanging loop, making it equally attractive displayed beside a fireplace or with a collection of vintage candlesticks. The conical snuffer is hinged at the handle, allowing it to move when positioned over a candle flame. The underside shows the original construction and naturally darkened interior from age and use. Unmarked; exact maker, country of origin and date are unknown. Good vintage condition with naturally aged patina, oxidation/verdigris, darkening, surface scratches and signs of previous use.
