Vingt-8, Pièce Unique, White Gold

A Pièce Unique Vingt-8, one of the last examples made with an Observatoire dial configuration. Its white, three-section guilloché dial features the numeral four in pink gold, where all other applied numerals are in white gold. Calibre 28 was Voutilainen's first in-house serial movement with his own direct double-impulse escapement. This example pairs the technical brilliance of calibre 28—which spawned true independence from ébauches at Voutilainen—with the aesthetic of the earliest Observatoire series. It is a transitional example that marries early Voutilainen aesthetics with the best of Voutilainen watchmaking.
