Chamber TKL
Chamber TKL A space for natural resonance. Introduction Design Mount System Configuration Videos Photos Specs Kit contents More Layout support Resources Dimensions Q&A From controlling sound to letting it resonate. As Chamber evolved, its guiding idea shifted: from trying to control sound to giving it room to resonate naturally. Rather than relying heavily on foam to suppress the character of a build, Chamber explores the relationship between case volume, geometry, materials, and internal structure. The aim is to preserve the individual character of the switches, plate, and case while bringing them together into a balanced whole. Case design Chamber’s most recognizable feature is its side profile. The line appears simple, yet it cannot be achieved with a conventional chamfer or standard exterior machining. A dedicated cutting tool allows the case to be machined inward from the underside, creating its continuous curve. Present since the earliest prototypes, this detail gives Chamber its identity from one angle to the next. A through-case weight, shaped from within. Chamber’s through-case weight extends from the interior to the visible underside. Its material, mass distribution, and connection to the case influence how the assembly responds to keystrokes. On its inner face, an elongated, racetrack-shaped recess surrounds a narrow central ridge. This machined profile shapes both the weight’s material distribution and the space beneath the PCB. Together, the weight and its internal geometry are intended to tune Chamber’s resonance alongside the switches, plate, and mounting system. A trace of its origins. The underside design carries a piece of Chamber’s development history. Its lines take inspiration from the internal ribs used in the first prototype. Those ribs were later removed from the internal structure, but their form remained on the exterior—a quiet record of how the design evolved. Mount System Top mount Chamber’s dedicated Top-mount structure delivers direct, firm feedback. Optional foam kits for solder and hot-swap PCBs let you further tailor the build. PTFE force-break pads 0.17 mm PTFE pads separate the case halves to reduce direct metal-to-metal contact and help limit vibration transfer and unwanted case resonance. Which foam kit should I choose?Choose the foam kit that matches your PCB. Separate versions are listed for the solder and hot-swap PCBs. Where can I find PCB layout diagrams?See Layout support above for the Solder, Hotswap ANSI, and Hotswap ISO diagrams. Where can I buy Chamber TKL locally?US — Divinikey KR — GEON CA — Keybay DE — Monacokeys VN — Soigear SG — Pantheonkeys QC Standard Upon receipt, the casing is considered acceptable if all six external surfaces (top, bottom, left, right, front, and back) are free from machining marks, stains, dents, and pinholes, and do not have any black dots larger than 1mm or scratches longer than 1mm. The copper weight is considered acceptable if it does not have any black dots, pinholes, or blemishes larger than 1mm, and no scratches longer than 2mm. Flaws and manufacturing artifacts that do not affect the overall external appearance are considered reasonable. This includes, but is not limited to: minor blemishes around screw holes, uneven internal coating, hook marks (from anodizing/painting) where the base color is exposed, and water marks, tool marks, or scratches on internal surfaces. Purchasing this product means you accept these terms. Due to the significant weight difference between the top and bottom case parts, there may be slight color variations even when the same color is chosen for both.
