Come in From the Cold

There's a house in my neighborhood with two humongous cottonwood trees towering over it, almost sheltering it protectively. Last winter, I was looking at it against a beautiful sunset. This card depicts that memory, and then my imagination took over as I explored the scene through light and reflection. Finally, a cat appeared, heading home. I hope this cozy scene makes you feel like you're coming in from the cold, too. The big world can feel harsh at times, but how lucky we are if we have nature surrounding us, a home to shelter in, people who love us, someone who wants to send us a piece of mail and a bit of their heart.
