Our charms begin as clay and are transformed into porcelain through multiple kiln firings before being hand-painted and finished with genuine 22k gold luster. To help preserve your piece: * Avoid direct contact with perfumes, lotions, sunscreen, and other harsh chemicals * Remove before showering, swimming, or exercising * Store your jewelry in the pouch provided, or in a cool, dry place when not being worn If your charm ever needs to be re-lustered, just send us a request — we're happy to provide that service. Please note: the metal wire anchored into the porcelain charm is a specialized high-temperature firing wire, needed to withstand the kiln process. Our 22k gold luster is applied by hand as a finishing detail meant to frame the porcelain edges of the charm — it's not intended to fully cover the firing wire. A small portion of visible wire is normal and not a defect.
