Plato's Cave

Inspired by Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, this coin depicts figures who have spent their entire existence watching shadows on a wall, believing them to be reality. Only by turning away and stepping into the light do they discover how much more lies beyond what they thought they knew. Rendered here as skeletons, the imagery adds another layer: how long can we spend staring at shadows without ever questioning them? On the reverse, a simple reminder: LOOK AGAIN. A meditation on perception, assumption, and the courage to question what we believe to be true. Machined by hand and deep laser engraved in California from solid Brass. Intended as a worry coin Limited to 27 1.5" diameter x .25" thick
