Upper Moutere, Nelson Pasteurised Sheeps Milk Sheeps milk washed rind made by Thorvald Cheese. Devotion has a distinct nose, smooth creamy texture and a slightly funky taste. One of a kind cheese, for a fan of the washed rind cheeses. This cheese stands out as one of the best examples of the development of new varities of cheese in NZ. Winner of a gold medal at the 2019 NZ Cheese Awards Washed rind are cheeses which are periodically treated with brine. This encourages the growth of certain bacteria on their surface which give them distinctive flavours. Match with Pinot Noir or robust Chardonnay.
