Arbutus unedo - Irish Strawberry Tree

A small slow growing evergreen tree growing to about 4m. A native to the Mediterranean and western Europe. It is quite an attractive tree with red-brown peeling bark, small bell shaped white flowers in spring followed by orange to red fruit late spring to summer. It has a hight frost and drought tolerance and will grow in most soils.
