The Wavewood Diffuser Ultra MKII looks like a piece of fine woodwork, and it brings the ambience back to a room that absorption alone can leave flat. Design The face is a sequence of slats at carefully varied depths, modeled on a QRD (quadratic residue diffuser), the mathematical pattern acousticians use to scatter sound evenly. Each slat is MDF wrapped in high-pressure laminate with a realistic wood or matte finish, mounted on a lightweight grey EPS base. The result is a diffuser that performs like a studio design at a fraction of the weight, so it installs easily on walls or ceilings. The MKII adds built-in holder ribs for Vicoustic's VicFix mounting system, with VicFix Mini wall mounts included. Finishes are shared with Vicoustic's matching absorbers, the VicPattern Ultra Wavewood MKII and Wavewood Ultra Lite, so you can mix diffusion and absorption across a wall with a single, seamless look.
