Du Vin à l'Âme Céleste

Céleste feels like a wine made with quiet confidence — honest, unforced and deeply connected to the land it comes from. Produced from old vines averaging an impressive 74 years of age, this is a beautifully pure expression of Beaujolais, shaped by limestone, clay and marl soils that bring both freshness and gentle depth to the wine. Farmed organically and biodynamically, everything here is guided with a light touch both in the vineyard and cellar. Fermentation happens naturally with indigenous yeasts, the wine is left unfined and unfiltered, and only the tiniest amount of sulphur is added at bottling. The result is a wine that feels alive in the glass — vibrant, energetic and wonderfully transparent in character. There is a lovely sense of softness and drinkability to Céleste, but underneath sits real structure and soul from those old vines. Pure fruit, delicate earthiness and a subtle mineral edge all unfold beautifully with air, making this a wine that rewards slowing down and letting it evolve in the glass. A thoughtful, low-intervention Beaujolais with elegance, texture and plenty of charm.
