Betty Mountain Design Bilum Clutch

Our Limited-Edition Craft Series brings together the weavers’ most loved patterns and palettes, thoughtfully handcrafted in small editions. Each design is a unique work of art, created in a limited series of 10 pieces by a collective of 15 weavers – this collaboration has helped us connect to an additional 100 women living near Goroka, Papua New Guinea. Working in this way provides meaningful and sustainable income to support the women and their communities. The Mountain design tells the story of women who live in the mountains. It speaks of their daily challenges and struggles to sustain their livelihoods – their gardens, their home, everything around them is climbing mountains each and every day. This Bilum is handwoven from acrylic and wool yarn as well as up-cycled knitwear using traditional weaving techniques. This purse is lined and features a frame closure and internal pocket.
