SparkFun Qwiic 24 Bit ADC - 4 Channel (ADS1219)
The SparkFun Qwiic 24-Bit ADC adds four channels of ultra-high-resolution analogue input to your project, making it ideal for precision sensing, scientific measurements, strain gauges, and other applications that need exceptionally accurate voltage readings. The SparkFun Qwiic 24-Bit ADC (ADS1219) adds four channels of high-precision, 24-bit analogue input to your project over I2C, featuring programmable gain and up to 16 unique addresses. Sometimes, the standard 10-bit or 12-bit ADC built into your microcontroller just isn't enough. When you need to measure minute changes in voltage with extreme accuracy, the SparkFun Qwiic 24-Bit ADC is the tool for the job. Built around the Texas Instruments ADS1219, this board provides four channels of high-resolution analogue input, configurable as four single-ended inputs or two differential pairs. To help you measure even the smallest signals (like those from strain gauges or scientific sensors), the chip features a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with x1 and x4 gain settings. This allows you to "zoom in" on tiny voltage fluctuations with incredible precision, down to 61.04 nV per count! Scalable and Easy to Connect We designed this board to grow with your project. Utilizing our handy Qwiic Connect System, you can connect it to your microcontroller in seconds with no soldering required. Need more inputs? While the default I2C address of the ADS1219 is 0x40, the board features jumpers in the range 0x40 to 0x4F, allowing you to daisy-chain up to 16 boards on a single bus for a staggering 64 channels of ADC input. If you need to use more than sixteen ADS1219 ADCs, consider using the Qwiic Mux Breakout. For users who prefer traditional breadboarding or need to connect external reference voltages, we have also broken out the analogue inputs, interrupts, and reference pins to standard 0.1"-spaced pads.
