Vintage traditional moroccan rug - blue, orangey - Taznakht - 4.6x8.8feet / 140x270cm

This beautiful rug comes from the Souss Massa region in Morocco. It is a unique, real vintage rug handcrafted by a lady weaver from the Taznakht tribe. I love everything about that rug, from the mix of colors, a navy blue with soft orangey and blush, to the symetrical composition with its 5 medallions, and the rich floral details all over it, that suggest influences from the persian rugs. The colors on this rug are original and were not artificially faded with chemicals. The rug is made of sheep wool 100%. Like most of the rugs from the Taznakht tribe, the weaving work is quite thin and the rug is a low pile, almost like a flatweave. Pictures were taken in my bright and all white studio in Marrakech.
