A (leichter Schützenpanzerwagen 7 – light armored personnel carrier 7) was a specialized variant of the Sd.Kfz. 250 light half-track, equipped with a grenade launcher for direct fire support. It is one of the more practical and actually deployed variants of this vehicle family – unlike more experimental versions such as the 250/4. The Sd.Kfz. 250/7 was introduced around 1941/42, based on the early "Alte" (Ausf. A) version. The purpose of this variant was to replace infantry-launched grenade launcher teams, improve reaction times, and enhance coordination with armored units. It was typically deployed in armored reconnaissance battalions and mechanized infantry units.
